ABOUT TOMMIE
In February 2019, a dog named Tommie changed our lives. Tommie, a brindle Pit Bull mix, was doused with lighter fluid, tied to a fence, and set on fire. The story of our tremendous efforts to save him spread across the world and prompted a landslide of donations, well-wishes, kindness, and love. Sadly, we were unable to save Tommie’s life, but because of your incredible support, we will be able to save countless other animals in need.

As a revenue-sharing plate, after the sale of the first 1,000 qualifying plates, $15.00 of the $25.00 fee is transferred to RACCF and used to support its operation and programs in Virginia. A portion of your fee may be tax-deductible.
Tommie Fund
The Richmond Animal Care & Control Foundation (RACCF) created the Tommie Fund to assist with covering the costs of emergency medical care for animals in need at municipal animal shelters and public animal control agencies across Virginia.
Program Eligibility
To be eligible for the Tommie Fund program, you must be a municipal shelter or public animal control agency in Virginia with a veterinary care budget under $100,000 per year.
Each shelter and agency applying to be a part of the Tommie Fund program must provide a copy of its budget and proof of funding with its application. Upon receipt of an application from a shelter or agency, the Board of Directors of RACCF will review the application and determine whether such shelter or agency is eligible for participation.
